PM security violation: Silent protest against letters, BJP plans 13-point national campaign to corner Congress

The Bharatiya Janata Party is in no mood to let go of the issue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security breach in Punjab and has made a nearly week-long plan to corner the Congress.

The 13-point plan involves writing letters to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi by intellectuals and general public from across the country on the importance of Prime Minister’s security and its relation to national security. BJP leaders will sit on silence outside Rajghat in Delhi on Friday and senior BJP leaders including MPs and MLAs will also sit on silence in front of statues of Mahatma Gandhi and Bhim Rao Ambedkar across the country.

There is a plan to make it a national campaign targeting Congress in all parts of the country.

BJP leaders said the decision was taken at the highest level where 13 points were decided to target the Congress and “bring its complicity with anti-India forces”.

To begin with, the party plans to sit in silence at Gandhi statues across the country on January 7. BJP MPs, MLAs, public representatives and party officials will be involved in this silent dharna of two hours. In Delhi, leaders will sit at Raj Ghat and keep silence for two hours. The party is calling it ‘Congress goodwill silent dharna’.

The party hopes that intellectuals and general public will write to Congress President Sonia Gandhi underlining the fact that the security of the PM is the security of the country. This is expected to continue for about a week. The party has asked its top leadership to meet the governors of their respective states and submit a memorandum on the “corrupt mentality of the Congress”.

On January 10, the BJP will deploy its Scheduled Caste Front to register a protest on the issue of “Congress-the destroyer of the Constitution”, with members of the SC community sitting in front of Baba Ambedkar’s statue for two hours across the country.

Also, on the same day people with disabilities will perform Havan with the motto of ‘Our Prime Minister, Hamari Shaan’ and human chain will be formed with the banner of ‘Our Prime Minister Hamara Abhiman’ in big cities.

On January 11, the party plans to put up banners at prominent places, which read ‘Bharat Stand with Modi Ji’.
