PMI Electro will now operate electric buses in over 23 cities across the country, including Surat. Notable cities where the company is operating e-buses include Kerala, Ladakh, Lucknow, Nagpur, Odisha, Rajkot, Delhi and Agra.
PMI Electro e-buses are equipped with security systems like RTMS (Real-time Monitoring System) and CCTV cameras to ensure passenger safety. Comfort provisions like air suspension ensure that the e-buses negotiate tough road conditions and provide a smooth ride to the passengers.
Mr. Satish Jain, President, PMI Electro Mobility said, “Our manufacturing prowess and reliable engineering have allowed us to deliver orders to STUs (State Transport Undertakings) on time and provide clean public transport to citizens. With almost negligible downtime and over 40 million green kilometres, our electric buses have proved their mettle even in challenging terrains like Ladakh and have encouraged people to use public transport.”
It was earlier reported that PMI Electro is manufacturing its own range of electric trucks and intra-city e-buses in partnership with China’s Beiqi Photon Motors. Pilot runs and trials with multiple STUs may start in the first quarter of FY24. In all, the company is reportedly looking to expand its electric CV portfolio to 15 models in light and heavy formats.
