PNB account holders will have to pay more for these banking services. details here

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has increased the charges for various services offered by the bank, the lender recently notified. From 15.01.2022, Public Sector Lenders are going to increase certain service charges related to regular banking operations.

Here is a list of all fee hikes by PNB:

Minimum Balance Requirement

Non-maintenance of Quarterly Average Balance (QAB) limit in metro areas has been increased 10,000. Previously, the limit was 5,000

Charges for not maintaining minimum balance in the account

Quarterly charges have been increased for non-maintenance of minimum balance 400 more in rural areas In 600 urban and metro areas, the PMB said on its website.

PNB also increased its locker rental fee in rural, semi-urban (SU), urban and metro areas. By whom has the locker fee been increased in urban areas? 500.

From January 15, 2021, the number of free trips per year will be reduced to 12; After that, 100 per visit will be charged. Earlier, the number of locker visits per year was fixed at 15 free visits per year.

closing current accounts

Current accounts which get closed after 14 days will have to pay 800 as fine. before, it was 600. However, accounts that are closed after 12 months will not be charged anything.

Transaction fees in savings accounts

From January 15, PNB will allow 3 free transactions per month thereafter 50/- per transaction (excluding alternate channels like BNA, ATM and CDM) will be charged, which is not applicable for senior citizen accounts. PNB has also increased transaction charges in savings and current accounts. Bank is currently allowing 5 free transactions per month thereafter 25/- per transaction is chargeable as service charge (excluding alternate channels like BNA, ATM and CDM).

The bank has also reduced its cash deposit limit on both savings and current accounts. Free deposit limit per day has been reduced 1 lakh from existing 2 lakh, and above The website of PNB says that from January 15, 2022, 1 lakh 10 paise per piece will be charged and this will be applicable on both Aadhaar and non-Aadhaar branches.
