Polestar invests in Extreme Fast Charging Battery Company Store

As part of the strategic deal, Polestar is collaborating with Storedot to explore the adoption and implementation of its technology for proof-of-concept Polestar cars.

Polestar has invested in extreme fast charging battery technology innovator, Storedot. StoreDot is a leader in the development of silicon-dominated extremely fast charging batteries for electric vehicles. The Israel-based company aims to produce batteries for electric vehicles capable of charging up to a range of 160 km in just five minutes by 2024.

Polestar CEO, Thomas Ingenlath, said, “Charging and range concerns are common concerns that prevent owners of combustion engine cars from switching to EVs. Storedot’s advanced battery technology potentially offers a real solution to these hurdles If our current pilot projects with Storedot are successful, we could see these solutions implemented in Polestar cars by 2026.”
