Mumbai:
A court on Tuesday sent alleged bookie Anil Jaisinghani to police custody till March 27 in a case related to alleged attempt to blackmail and bribe Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The court also extended the police remand of Jaisinghani’s daughter Aniksha Jaisinghani till March 24.
Anil Jaisinghani was arrested a day earlier from Gujarat. He was produced before Additional Sessions Judge DD Almale on Tuesday.

Aniksha was produced before the court on Tuesday after her initial remand was over. The court extended his custody as the police said it was necessary for further investigation.
The father-daughter duo has also been charged under Indian Penal Code sections related to criminal conspiracy and extortion and the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Police had earlier said that at least 17 cases were pending against Anil Jaisinghani.
