Raja Singh, known for his hardline religious rhetoric, was suspended from the BJP on August 23 for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Prophet Mohammad. In his new video, which was released before his arrest, he single-handedly blamed Farooqui for the “communal situation”, while blaming KTR for inviting him to Hyderabad for an event where the comedian allegedly But had insulted the Hindu gods Rama and Sita.

Raja Singh further said that he had also opposed Farooqui’s program three months ago and asked the police to cancel it. He said he was taking a “risk” by putting up the video despite a court order directing him to refrain from attending or addressing the media, but “forced” him to explain the reason behind the communal tension in Telangana. to be done.

“What is the reason behind the communal atmosphere prevailing in Telangana today? I have been keeping an eye on the national media since yesterday, and everyone has their own theories. Therefore, today I am taking the risk of standing in front of you for not addressing the media despite the court order. The current situation has demanded this video and I want to share my thoughts with all of you. I am compelled to try and explain the reason behind the communal violence in Telangana: standup comic Munavvar Farooqui,” the leader is heard saying in his video.

He said that KTR was an “atheist and not a believer in any god”, which is why he invited Farooqui to organize an event in Hyderabad soon after the comedian contacted him on Twitter. He alleged that by doing so, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was playing a vote bank game to woo Muslims.

Calling Farooqui a “chillar” (none) comedian in the video, Raja Singh is seen saying, “…Farooqui approached KT Rama Rao, the son of our Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. He contacted KT Rama Rao on Twitter. When contacted he said that he wanted to do an event in Hyderabad. So KT Rama Rao, who is an atheist and does not believe in any god, invited Farooqui under heavy police protection. He lathi-charged the ‘Ram Bhakts’ and me Arrested. And all this for a “chiller” comedian.

He says: “I had requested the DGP, commissioner not to invite a person who has made lewd comments only about Lord Ram and Sita Maiya (my Lord Ram and Mother Sita). I pleaded in front of KTR and told him that I may die for Ram but TRS is playing this game for Muslim vote bank. If not, it will be successful in garnering the support of Muslims.

Raja Singh also said that he would explain to his party, the BJP, that he was not targeting any religion but individuals. The leader was suspended by the saffron party for “violating” the party’s constitution. A show cause notice was also issued to him by the party, in which he was asked to explain within 10 days why he should not be expelled.

The controversy started when Singh released a video criticizing Farooqui, who had recently performed in Hyderabad. He has also been seen making some remarks allegedly targeting the Prophet. However, his supporters have argued that he did not name any religion or religious person. In a notice issued to Singh, BJP’s Central Disciplinary Committee secretary Om Pathak said, “You have expressed contrary views of the party’s position on various matters, which is clearly a violation of the BJP’s constitution. I am directed to inform you that pending further investigation, you are hereby suspended from the party and from your responsibilities/actions with immediate effect.
