Police took MLA Abbas Ansari’s wife on remand after three days

During this hearing through video conference, the court said that the period of remand will start from 10 am on February 17. Investigating officer Harsh Pandey had applied for police remand of both. Pandey, in his application, said that Nikhat Bano had locked his share and it was necessary to open the phone for information related to the case.

The application also said that in another century of the case, Niyaz Ahmed had not given the mobile phone to the police. It is necessary to recover that mobile phone so that the investigating agency can find out who are the other people involved in the incident.

The wife of jailed MLA Abbas Ansari was arrested on February 10 for illegally meeting her husband in the sub-jailer’s room at Chitrakoot Kargar. In this case, the jail superintendent and seven other employees were suspended and departmental action was initiated against them.

Mafia-politician Mukhtar Ansari’s son and Subhaspa MLA from Mau Sadar, Abbas Ansari, is in jail for the last three months in a money laundering case. Police had said that apart from a mobile phone, several objectionable items were recovered from Nikhat Ansari.

Jail Superintendent Ashok Sagar, Deputy Jailor, a constable, Abbas’s wife Nikhat and his driver on Tahrir of Sub-Inspector Shyamdev Singh, in-charge of Ragauli Jail Station, on several serious charges including conspiracy to frame criminal charges against five people and tampering with evidence. Case has been registered.

The Enforcement Directorate had arrested MLA Abbas Ansari in November last year after questioning him for a long time in a money laundering case.
