Prakash further alleged that the state government did not distribute the food items provided by the Center in 2020 and 2021 and allowed them to rot in the godowns.
“About 16.14 lakh metric tonnes of food items were provided to the state between April and October 2020 and over 1 lakh migrant workers between November 2020 and May 2021. But the state government was negligent and the people of Jharkhand went to bed hungry. It is the failure of the state government that the nine districts of the state are still extremely backward.
Prakash also alleged that the state government was reluctant to take on the Centre’s flagship social welfare schemes, such as the PM Suraksha Yojana.
