President Murmu’s Jharkhand visit rescheduled for Tuesday

Officials said on Sunday that President Draupadi Murmu’s visit to Jharkhand has been rescheduled and she may now come on Tuesday.

The President is not coming on Monday. A senior state official said the revised schedule of his visit is awaited.

Earlier, officials had said that the former Jharkhand governor would reach Deoghar airport on Monday afternoon and offer prayers at the Baba Baidyanath Dham temple.

In view of his visit, the Deoghar administration had made elaborate security arrangements and had banned the entry of devotees into the temple from 9 am to 3.30 pm.

Deoghar Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri said that the President’s visit to Deoghar has been cancelled.

The President cannot even attend the state function of Jharkhand Foundation Day at Morabadi Ground in Ranchi on Tuesday.

However, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great tribal freedom fighter, he is likely to visit Ulihatu village of Birsa Munda in Khunti district on Tuesday, another official said.

Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Rahul Sinha told PTI, “The President is going to Khunti but his visit to Morabadi Maidan has been cancelled.” Is.

Preparations were going on in full swing on Sunday for Murmu’s first visit to the state after becoming the President.

Roads from Ranchi airport to Raj Bhavan were cleaned, street lights were repaired, dividers were repainted and unnecessary banners and hoardings were removed, an official said.

Ranchi’s Additional Municipal Commissioner Kunwar Singh Pahan said, “The vegetable market near Raj Bhavan will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday.”
