The Consumer Affairs Ministry on Monday issued a directive asking companies to mention all mandatory declarations including MRP on the outer pack. It states that retail commodity packages containing more than one pack, including gift and multi-piece packs, are required to mention the same on the outer pack.
“It has been observed that mandatory information is not declared on retail packages containing more than one retail package,” the directive said.
It is mandatory that all retail packages within a group/combination/multi-piece/gift package should also carry all necessary declarations.
