Infosys co-founder Narayan Murthy said in his first comment, “We are proud of him and wish him success.” Son-in-law Rishi Sunak as Prime Minister of Britain.

Mr. SunkiThe 42-year-old won the race to lead the Conservative Party on Sunday and is set to become Britain’s first Indian-origin prime minister.

“Congratulations Rishi. We are proud of him and we wish him success,” Mr. Murthy said in the first response to the email PTI, “We are confident that he will do his best for the people of the United Kingdom.”

The son of a pharmacist mother and doctor father, Mr Sunak was educated at one of the most famous schools in England, Winchester and then Oxford. Mr. Sunak appointed Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and later did an MBA from Stanford, California, where he met Akshata Murthy, daughter of Narayana Murthy, co-founder of Infosys.

Mr. Sunak married Akshata in 2009 and the couple has two daughters, Krishna and Anoushka.
