Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann joins the million followers club on Twitter. Chandigarh News – Times of India

Bathinda: Seeing the growth in its followers by leaps and bounds, Punjab Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has become the third politician from Punjab to have 1 million followers on the microblogging site Twitter, Mann arrived at the figure on Tuesday.
Earlier, former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and former Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu had achieved this figure months ago. Amarinder was the first person to have one million followers, now he leads the pack with 1.1 million followers. He is followed by Navjot Singh Sidhu, who had reached 10 lakh i.e. 10 lakh followers when he was the president of Punjab Congress.
Mann’s followers grew rapidly after he was announced as the chief ministerial candidate of the Aam Aadmi Party. Before being declared as CM, he had around 6 lakh followers.
With 4.25 lakh followers, Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal is at number four in Punjab when it comes to politicians with large Twitter followers. Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has 2.83 lakh followers. After becoming a minister in the previous government and now the Punjab Congress President, he added many followers. Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal has 2.72 lakh followers, while former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has 2.51 lakh followers.
Former minister Bikram Singh Majithia has 99,600 followers, while Congress-turned-BJP leader Sunil Jakhar has 68,500 followers.
