Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday reviewed the law and order situation in the state ahead of the anniversary of Operation Bluestar on June 6 and said police have been put on high alert to maintain peace. According to an official release, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday reviewed the law and order situation in the state ahead of ‘Ghallugra Divas’ to be observed on June 6. Mann, presiding over a meeting with senior police and civil administration officials, asked them to ensure comprehensive security arrangements across the state before June 6.
The Chief Minister said that no one should be allowed to disturb the hard earned peace of the State at any cost. Stating that his government was committed to make Punjab a peaceful and pioneer state in the country, he said anyone trying to disturb the peace would be dealt with strictly. Some forces obstructing the progress and prosperity of the state are constantly trying to derail the peace in the state. But the AAP government will not allow any such nefarious move to succeed, Mann said.
