Mandi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal launched the party’s “Mission Himachal” with his first roadshow and rally in Mandi, Himachal. Addressing the crowd, he said that corruption Punjab It is over in just 20 days and now it is the turn to make Himachal corruption free.
In his four-minute address at the end of the roadshow, Kejriwal said that it has been just 20 days since Bhagwant Mann took over as the Chief Minister of Punjab, but the state has become corruption free. Asking people to verify this by calling anyone in Punjab, he said that no officer of any police station, registrar or tehsildar dared to demand a bribe. He said that he can accomplish what no party has done in 75 years because he was honest.
“Earlier the whole system used to take bribe, but not now. Whoever takes bribe will be put behind the bars,” he said.
AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal said, “First we ended corruption in Delhi, then in Punjab and now it is Himachal’s turn. We don’t know politics… we only know work, we eradicate corruption and patriotism. I know that How to build a school. Call your relatives in Delhi and ask them for changes. I know how to fix schools, electricity, water and hospitals.”
He said that in view of the huge crowd in Mandi, he was confident that Himachal would break the record of Delhi and Punjab in the coming elections by giving maximum seats to his party. While Kejriwal did not talk much about Himachal politics and other political parties, but mainly focused on the model of governance of Delhi and Punjab, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann targeted the BJP and Congress.
Mann said that the British gave India 200 years of slavery and now BJP and Congress are doing the same by playing innings for 5-5 years. “In Himachal, both the parties don’t do much but give the same old speech as they know their turn will come after five years. They felt that no third party can come in the fray. The same thing happened in Delhi and Punjab. Then God sent our broom to remove political disturbances. Let us together vote for ourselves, our children, good education, good hospitals, better infrastructure like water and electricity.
Referring to the statement issued by BJP and Congress leaders that no third party can enter Himachal, he said, “It means third party can enter Himachal. The person speaks about the things by which He is scared. While he likes his children, you show the common people the stairs of the assembly and parliament. The one who defeats Charanjit Singh Channi runs a mobile repair shop. The girl who defeats Sidhu and Majithia is a social worker. Those parties believed that politics is their property. People were thinking that politics is work for goons and rich people. AAP has instilled in them the belief that even a common man can become an MLA and like Bhagwant Mann Teacher’s son can become CM…”
Wearing traditional Himachali and aap ki topi and the beats of traditional Pahari dhol, people started gathering at Victoria Bridge from 10 am onwards. Kejriwal and Mann reached Mandi two hours late at 2 pm.
The road show “Tiranga Yatra”, which started at 2 pm from Victoria Bridge, takes 40 minutes to reach the rally venue at Seri Manch in the heart of Mandi town, which is traversed by the narrow streets of Sankhter, Moti Bazar and Chhota Bazar. passes through.
