Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday announced a scheme to provide one lakh jobs to the youth of the state. CM made this announcement in Chandigarh.
Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, Channi said, “If we come to power, we will give one lakh government jobs to the youth of the state. Education is very important for the development of Punjab but in today’s time it is very expensive.”
He said, “The state government should ensure that every family in Punjab is educated, so we will provide free education in government schools, colleges to those people who cannot afford it. We will bring scholarship schemes in support of this idea, ” They said. by news agency ANI,
Channi has also been declared the chief ministerial face of the Congress for the upcoming elections. Polling in Punjab will be held on February 20. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
Channi said that this is not just an announcement but it is a promise made in support of a decision of the Punjab cabinet. The Punjab Chief Minister, who is contesting from Bhadaur assembly constituency in Barnala district, said it is the responsibility of the government to ensure that every family in the state is educated.
