Radhika Gupta elected as the new President of Balasubramaniam Amfi

According to media reports, Aditya Birla Sunlife AMC MD and CEO A Balasubramaniam has been appointed as the President of Association of Mutual Funds (Amfi).

The mutual fund industry body in its board meeting held on Monday also appointed Radhika Gupta, MD and CEO, Edelweiss AMC as its vice chairman.

Gupta replaces Invesco Asset Management (India) CEO Saurabh Nanavati, while Balasubramaniam will replace Kotak Mahindra Asset Managing Director Nilesh Shah, who has chaired AMFI for two consecutive years since 2019.

Prior to these appointments, Balasubramaniam and Gupta were chairing the evaluation committee of AMFI and the ETF committee, respectively.

Amphi is yet to make an official announcement on the new appointments, though industry insiders have confirmed Gupta’s appointment as Mint’s vice president.
