Rahul Gandhi will go to Punjab on January 27 before the assembly elections, Sidhu confirms

Ahead of the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections, Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Tuesday announced on microblogging site Twitter that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi would visit the state on January 27.

Punjab was about to go in singles step According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), the election on February 14. However, keeping in mind the situation of Kovid in the state, the election has been postponed till February 20.

The Indian National Congress (INC) is the ruling party in Punjab with Charanjit Singh Channi as Chief Minister, after Captain Amarinder Singh stepped down and left the Grand Old Party to form his own party.

According to the schedule published by Sidhu, Rahul Gandhi Will offer prayers at Shri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar and will visit Lord Valmiki pilgrimage site along with 117 candidates.

The Congress leaders will also pay obeisance at the Shri Durgiana Temple along with the candidates.

Gandhi will also conduct Virtual Rally “Punjab Fateh” at White Diamond, Mithapur, Jalandhar.
