Ditching his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ look, Rahul Gandhi arrived in the UK on a week-long tour, seen in a suit with trimmed hair and beard.
Abandoning his popular ‘white T-shirt look’ from the visit, the Gandhi scion was all set for his address on ‘Learning to listen in the 21st century’ at the University of Cambridge.

Away from his popular ‘white T-shirt look’ for the trip, the Gandhi scion was all set for his address on ‘Learning to Listen in the 21st Century’ at the University of Cambridge. Several Congress leaders shared pictures of Gandhi’s new look.
The lecture ‘Learning to Listen in the 21st Century’ is a lecture only for students where Rahul Gandhi shared his experiences of the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
He will be part of another closed-door session on Big Data and Democracy and ‘India-China Relations’ with Professor Shruti Kapila, an Indian-origin Fellow, Tutor and Director and Co-Director of Studies at the University’s Corpus Christi College. Global Humanities Initiative.
The Wayanad MP will also interact with NRIs in London on March 5 during his visit. In addition, he will also meet members of the Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) in London. IOC is the overseas wing of the Congress party.

Sharing his picture from the UK tour, Congress member Pooja Tripathi wrote, “From a rugged look in BJY to a polished fellow in Cambridge, Rahul Gandhi is the perfect example of a new age politician.”
The new picture comes days after Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra look went viral. His thick beard and white T-shirt made him headlines. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had remarked that he looked like Saddam Hussain, prompting the Congress to hit back saying “when your leader (PM Modi) grew a beard, we didn’t say anything”.

Gandhi was also questioned about walking north wearing a T-shirt India It was chilling in the winter. While many of his detractors called it a gimmick, his party colleagues hailed him as a superman for fighting the cold wave and continuing his quest. “Four children came to me. He was a beggar and had no clothes. I hugged them. They were cold, and shivering. Maybe they didn’t have food. I thought if they are not wearing jackets or sweaters, then I should not,” the Congress leader had said in Srinagar.
