Last month it was reported that Raj Kundra had deleted his social media profile. An avid Instagram and Twitter user, the businessman decided to delete all her accounts while Shilpa Shetty continues to woo her followers on Instagram with fitness videos and family photos.
Raj Kundra was arrested in July in connection with an investigation into the production and distribution of pornographic material. Their offices in Mumbai were raided by the Mumbai Police. Raj came out of jail on September 21, two months after his arrest in the case. The police had claimed in a 1,500-page supplementary chargesheet that Kundra was the “key facilitator” in the case and that he, along with other accused, exploited women struggling in the film industry by filming them in an obscene manner. In his petition, Raj Kundra had claimed that he was being made a ‘scapegoat’ in the case and there was not a single allegation against him in the entire supplementary charge sheet.
After Raj Kundra’s arrest, Shilpa Shetty had shared in a statement, “I have yet to comment and will continue to refrain from doing so on this matter as this is the case, so please stop giving false quotes on my part.” Do. Reiterating my philosophy, as a celebrity, “Never complain, never explain. I will only say that, as this is an ongoing investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police and the Indian Judiciary. As a family, we are resorting to all available legal remedies. But, till then I humbly request you – especially as a mother – to respect our privacy for the sake of my children and request you to refrain from commenting on half-baked information without verifying the veracity of the same. Avoid. I am a law of pride -an Indian citizen and a hardworking professional since last 29 years. People have believed in me and I have never let anyone down. So, most importantly, I request you to respect my family and ‘my right’ to privacy. these times.
