Raj Thackeray alleges Sharad Pawar orchestrated Ajit Pawar’s NDA move

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray claimed that the political developments in Maharashtra could have been orchestrated by NCP supremo Sharad Pawar himself.

While speaking about NCP leader Ajit Pawar and eight other MLAs joining the Shiv Sena-BJP government, Thackeray said, as reported by PTI,. “What has happened in the state is very disgusting….This is nothing but an insult to the voters of the state,”

He added. “Sharad Pawar started all these things in Maharashtra. He first experimented with `Pulod’ (Purogami Lokshahi Dal) government back in 1978. Maharashtra had never witnessed such political scenarios ever. All these things started with Pawar, and ended with Pawar,” he added.

He also claimed that the senior NCP leader could be behind the entire drama..”Praful Patel, Dilip Walse-Patil and Chhagan Bhujbal are not the ones who will go with Ajit Pawar (on their own and without Pawar senior’s blessings),” he said.

Sharad Pawar-led NCP issues whip to all MLA to attend meeting in Mumbai

NCP on Tuesday issued a whip to all MLAs, urging their presence at an important meeting in Mumbai on Wednesday. At the same time, a rival faction headed by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has called for a separate meeting of party legislators. Jitendra Awhad, appointed as the chief whip by Sharad Pawar, issued the whip, emphasizing the mandatory attendance. The Ajit Pawar camp, represented by expelled member Shivajirao Garje, has issued a notice for their own meeting in suburban Bandra.

The Ajit Pawar camp has asked Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar to disqualify state NCP president Jayant Patil and Jitendra Awhad as MLAs.

NCP working president Praful Patel, who was sacked from the party by Sharad Pawar, on Monday appointed Ajit Pawar as leader of the NCP legislature party, while Anil Bhaidas Patil, who took oath as a minister on Sunday, will continue to be the party whip in the Assembly.
