Rajnath Singh felicitated ‘Super-25’ students of Veer Gatha competition

New Delhi Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday felicitated the ‘Super-25’ students of the Veer Gatha competition and appreciated the creativity of the students through their entries.

Congratulating the young winners, Raksha Mantri appreciated their bravery, enthusiasm and creativity and expressed confidence that the young generation will give a new and better direction not only to themselves but also to the society and the nation.

Appreciating the role of Veer Gatha in inculcating values ​​of patriotism among young students, Rajnath Singh said that such projects will play an important role in inculcating the values ​​of ethics and bravery along with education among the students. He said that the government has taken several steps in the recent past, which will help in the all-round development of our children in the times to come.

Highlighting the growing popularity of Veer Gaatha, the Minister said that in such a short span of time the project has gained immense popularity and has become a movement in itself.

Last year there were 8 lakh participations, while this time the number of these entries has crossed 19 lakhs. In a very short span of time it has been able to reach lakhs of children. This is how a movement happens,” Rajnath Singh said.

Raksha Mantri underlined that crores of children are indirectly associated with this project which is also the objective of this project. He said that connecting with the children of the country and motivating them is the only way to build the nation.

Underlining the importance of valor in daily life, the Defense Minister said, “When I talk of valor and courage, I do not mean only valor and courage on the battlefield. If something goes wrong somewhere, raising voice against it is also an act of great bravery and courage.

He further said that great personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Chandrashekhar Azad, Khudiram Bose, Ashfaq Ullah Khan kept speaking the truth throughout their lives, no matter what the cost was.

Rajnath Singh also suggested that such felicitations should be organized at the state and district level as well, so that the project reaches out to more and more people.
