Rajnath Singh will soon inaugurate the two-day ‘Swarnim Vijay Parv’ at India Gate

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the “Swarnim Vijay Parv” at India Gate in Delhi on Sunday. This event is celebrated to commemorate India’s historic victory in the 1971 war and 50 years of Indo-Bangladesh friendship.

Notably, the last message of late CDS General Bipin Rawat will also be broadcast in today’s program. General Rawat and 12 others lost their lives in a fatal helicopter crash.

According to the Defense Ministry, major weapons and equipment used during the 1971 war will be displayed along with excerpts from major battles. After the inauguration, the program will be open to the general public.

The closing ceremony will be held on December 13, which will be attended by Rajnath Singh. Many dignitaries including Bangladesh will be present.
