New Delhi: During the telephonic conversation between Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and his US counterpart Lloyd J Austin on Monday, developments in Afghanistan and issues related to bilateral defense cooperation were discussed prominently.
The talks came ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the US this week to attend a personal summit of the Quad leaders in Washington and address the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
Describing the talks as “warm”, Singh said the two sides agreed to continue “fruitful talks” and further strengthen the India-US partnership.
