Ram Setu Box Office Collection: Akshay KumarHis latest film is his fifth release this year. There were high expectations from Ram Setu and it was expected to make good returns at the box office. However, this film has not proved to be a turnaround for the Bollywood star. Collections have become muted and business is falling every day. The film made gains in the first few days due to Diwali holidays, but the numbers have not been showing since then. It will be interesting to see how well it does at the box office.
Ram Setu Day 5 Collection
Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu was his biggest opener this year. Earning Rs 15.25 crore on the first day, it did a respectable business of over Rs 35 crore at the box office in the first three days of its release. However, the matter of concern here is that every day a decline is being recorded in the business. It collected Rs 6.05 crore on Friday (4 days) and on Saturday saw a slight jump in the collections due to the weekend. Its turnover in five days is now close to Rs 50 crore.
Ram Setu is in competition with Thank God
On Diwali, Ram Setu was released with Thank God, starring Ajay Devgn Siddharth Malhotra, The latter had a comedy theme and was intended for a family audience. However, there hasn’t been much competition for Thank God Ram Setu as it is trailing Akshay’s film from day one. The total earnings of Thank God for four days stood at Rs 21.55 crore and now there are no more expectations than this.
Silent campaign for Ram Setu
After its theatrical run is over, Ram Setu will be released on Amazon Prime Video. Prior to its release, the film’s promotions were muted and the lead stars were barely seen talking about the project in the media or in public. This Diwali has been the worst in years for the Bollywood box office as both Thank God and Ram Setu have performed tremendously.
