Dharwad: Ramadan was celebrated in Dharwad Tuesday with enthusiasm. The fast ended after the moon was sighted on Monday and Ramadan was celebrated on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, religious heads said that Ramadan is the holiest month of the year in Islamic culture and fasting during Ramadan is known to strengthen one’s relationship with God. He said that prayer, charity and generosity make this month even more holy.
