Ranbir says, ‘I wish my father was alive to see this film. He’s always been frankly honest about his criticism, if he liked or didn’t like something, especially with my work. So, it’s sad that he’s not going to see it. But I am really excited that I got a chance to do a film like this and I hope that somewhere he is looking for me and he is proud of me.”
Ranbir says ‘Shamshera’ is his attempt to speak to a pan-India audience. He says, “I definitely want to grow as an actor and a star and ‘Shamshera’ is definitely a positive step in that direction. You want to make films for a bigger audience. You tell such stories. Want to connect and entertain different generations of audiences.”
He further added, “‘Shamshera’ is a step in that direction but the film is yet to release. I am very curious to know how people will accept me in this part, but I am very excited that I will also get this part. Got a chance to play that kind of role.”
