Actress Rashmika Mandanna is receiving a lot of praise for her performance in the film Pushpa: The Rise. Starring Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil, the film is performing well at the box office and has appealed to a pan-India audience. Recently, in an interaction with Bollywoodlife.com, the actress shared an update on the shooting of the sequel titled Pushpa: The Rule. The film is scheduled to release in December this year.
When the publication asked her when she would start shooting for the sequel, she said, “I don’t know if I can reveal it (laughs). But soon.”
Talking about the response to the films and the love it is getting, he said, “Well, I didn’t know what to expect, this is the biggest film of my career, and I have never done anything like this before. So, if you haven’t done something like this before, you can’t expect anything from it. You know it’s going to be big, but you don’t know how big it’s going to be. I trusted Pushpa because I saw how much work was going into it. I knew what we were trying to show people. So, I knew what the film was really capable of.”
Dear Comrade actress is going to debut in Bollywood with films like Mission Majnu and Goodbye. Mission Majnu paired her with Sidharth Malhotra, while in Alvida, she will share the screen with megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
Meanwhile, Pushpa: The Rise emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2021. Not only was the original Telugu version of the film a huge success, but the Hindi dubbed version of the film was also declared a massive hit. By January 11, Pushpa Hindi had already deposited Rs 81.58 crore.
Not only in India, Pushpa: The Rise has received a good response in Nepal as well. Over the weekend, videos from cinemas playing Telugu movies surfaced online, with moviegoers dancing in theatres and enjoying the viewing experience.
