Rasika Duggal has managed to shine with passion with her awe-inspiring performances in films like Bombay Talkies and Manto. However, the talented actress is also known for her roles in superhit OTT shows like Mirzapur, Delhi Crimes and A Suitable Boy. As Rasika gears up for the release of Delhi Crime season two, she has now said that recreating a character while returning with the second season of a show is an easier task than taking on a new role. Talking to news agency PTI, Rasika also shared that it is a tough job for writers.
There are series like ‘Delhi Crime’ and ‘Mirzapur’, so it is easy to pick characters in every season. When you are choosing roles from one season to another, the difficult part lies with the writers. It is difficult when the characters are already introduced and then you have to take those characters elsewhere,” she said.
“But for actors, it is a lot more comfortable because when you come back after a season, you are like you know them (characters). They have changed a little but we still know what they are and we understand them,” she adds.

Rasika further said that taking on a new role is ‘scary’ and also shared that an actor can never be ‘completely ready’ to play a role. “Taking up a new role is far more scary because you have to put in a lot of work and you don’t even know whether you are making the right choice or not. Also, whenever you prepare for a new character, you feel that if you got another month, you would be ready to go. An actor can never say that they are fully prepared for the role. You can just keep preparing, and there is no end to it,” she said.
Meanwhile, Rasika also spoke about Delhi Crime season two and revealed that “It is about two people trying to make things work together. It is not meant to show a person as a victim. Further in the series, we will see that the two develop a strong relationship. ,
Delhi Crime will be available on season two Netflix From 26 August.
