Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) face off against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in match no. Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Monday the 15th at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. LSG are currently third on the points table and a win over RCB will take them to the No.1 spot with 6 points from 4 matches.
However, RCB have never lost an IPL match to LSG – which made its debut in the T20 league in 2022. Both sides were impressive in the previous season, reaching the playoff stage but failing to progress to the finals.
The Faf du Plessis-led RCB is dealing with some injury issues, especially in the bowling department with Josh Hazlewood yet to feature in the squad and Reece Topley ruled out due to injury. However, they are now back in the form of Wayne Parnell, while leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga is also expected to join the squad on Monday in Bengaluru.
But after their defeat in the previous match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), RCB will look to bounce back as Virat Kohli and du Plessis at the helm will get them back to winning ways. It is like a homecoming for the LSG skipper KL Rahul as he hails from the city of Bengaluru. But the crowd at Chinnaswamy will be against Rahul and the LSG team on Monday night.
