Reliance Jio, the telecom arm of Reliance Industries, has reported a consolidated net profit of ₹3,728 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2021, an increase of 23.5 per cent over the year-ago period. Telecom major had posted a net profit of ₹3,019 crore during the three months of September 30, 2020. Cash benefit for three months till September 2021 ₹8,206 crore, up 18.2 per cent annually.
The company saw an increase in its revenue from operations ₹19,777 crore, up 7 percent from ₹18,496 crores. gross revenue for the quarter was ₹23,222 crore, after adjusting for IUC, at 15.2 per cent year-on-year basis, as against ₹21,708 crore in the year-ago period.

EBITDA for the quarter under review was ₹9,294 crore as compared to ₹7,971 crore a year ago. EBITDA margin increased by 390 basis points to 47 per cent during the quarter under review, as against 46.9 per cent in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Reliance Jio sees an increase in its Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) ₹143.6 per subscriber per month during the period under review, which is 3.7 per cent higher than the previous quarter, Jio said in a regulatory filing.
After net engagement of 23.8 million subscribers on an annual basis, Jio has expanded its subscriber base to 429.5 million million as of 30 September 2021. Total data traffic during the quarter was recorded at 23.0 billion GB, a year-on-year increase of 50.9, while total voice traffic grew 17.6 percent to 1.09 trillion minutes.
Meanwhile, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) reported today’s consolidated net profit ₹13,680 crore for Q2 FY22. This is up 43 percent from ₹There was a turnover of Rs 9,567 crore in the same quarter last year.
Shares of Reliance Industries rose by 4.05 points, or 0.15 per cent, to 2,627.05 on the BSE ahead of the earnings announcement on Friday.
