Remedies to remove the negative effects of Rahu

Rahu often affects a person’s behavior negatively.

To save yourself from the negative effects of Rahu, you should make it a habit to worship Lord Shiva daily.

Holi, the festival of colours, will be celebrated on 8 March. Meanwhile, Holika Dahan, celebrated a day before Holi, falls on March 7. On this day, people gather around the bonfire to perform Holika Dahan rituals and worship. The practice is associated with Holika, who was a demonic aunt of Prahlad – a devotee of Lord Vishnu who was the son of Hiranyakashipu. The blazing fire is a reminder of the victory of good over evil.

Another traditional practice, Holashtak, is observed for the last eight days before Holi. This year Holashtak will start from 27th February and end on 7th March. These 8 days are considered inauspicious for important works like marriage, shifting to a new house, taking admission in an educational institution or traveling. According to Dr. Mrityunjay Tiwari, Head of Astrology Department of Shri Kallaji Vedic University, the negative impact of Rahu on Holika Dahan will be at its peak.
