Removal of Bhagat Singh’s lesson from Cuttack school textbook an insult to martyr: Kejriwal

Hitting out at the BJP government in Karnataka over reports that a text on Bhagat Singh was removed from a school textbook, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said it was an insult to the sacrifice of the iconic freedom fighter and demanded its withdrawal. Decision.

Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi, “Why do people of BJP hate Amar Shaheed Sardar Bhagat Singh ji so much? Removing Sardar Bhagat Singh ji’s name from school books is an insult to the sacrifice of Amar Shaheed.”

“The country will not tolerate such insult to its martyrs. The BJP government will have to withdraw this decision,” he said.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) termed the removal of the chapter on Bhagat Singh from the Kannada textbook as “shameful” and demanded that the Karnataka government reinstate the text in the school textbook.

Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister BC Nagesh has defended the inclusion of a speech by Hedgewar in the revised Kannada textbook for Class X students. Nagesh has said that there is nothing in the textbook about Hedgewar or the RSS, but only his speech on what should happen.
