Bathinda:cardiologist Dr Gurpreet Singh Wander has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), faridkot, Prior to his new appointment, Dr. Wander was the Head of the Hero Heart Unit of DMC Hospital, Ludhiana. He is considered one of the renowned Cardiologists of Punjab but is known throughout the country.
Chief Minister of Punjab During his visit to Faridkot on 24th September it was announced that in a few days a renowned doctor is being appointed as the VC of BFUHS.
Dr Wander will replace Dr Raj Bahadur, who resigned on July 30 after Chetan Singh Jauramajra, the health minister of Punjab. The minister was on a visit to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, a constituent college of BFUHS.
In a tweet on Friday evening, the Chief Minister announced the appointment of Dr. Wander as VC. Dr. Wander has spoken of working with honesty and complete devotion.
