Republic Day 2023: Tiranga Yatra planned in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur with 351 feet tall flag

New Delhi: On this Republic Day, there will be a Tiranga Yatra in Muzaffarpur city of Bihar, in which there will be a 351 feet long tricolor flag. On Republic Day and Independence Day, the area has witnessed such a yatra for the last 5 years. According to a News18 report, the parade is organized by the Ramgarh family and will begin at 3 pm from Sikandarpur Mod, Ramgarh Chowk. It will pass through various parts of the city including Saraiyaganj, Pankaj Market, Chhata Bazar, Garib Sthan Road, Sonarpatti, Sahu Road, Chhoti Kalyani, Harisabha Chowk, Kalyani Chowk, Islampur, Motijheel, Santoshi Mata Mandir and Islampur.

Tiranga Yatra will end at Navyuvak Samiti Saraiyaganj Tower Chowk.

The purpose of the parade is to promote patriotism among the citizens of Muzaffarpur, Ravi Mahto, a member of the Ramgarh family, told News18. In addition, the district administration will also organize a program with tableaux of government-sponsored schemes and tableaux of school children.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi will be the chief guest at this year’s Republic Day parade. He arrived in Delhi on Tuesday for a three-day state visit focused on enhancing bilateral ties in several areas including agriculture, digital domain and trade. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sisi will hold wide-ranging talks on Wednesday (January 25).
