By now, we all know how big a foodie Rhea Kapoor is. Her Instagram is filled with pictures and videos of all her food adventures. In fact, today her Insta-handle has turned into a foodie’s destination, amassing 1.6 million followers on the photo-sharing app. From time to time, we see her cooking in the kitchen, organizing meal dates for friends and families and — of course — making all things delicious. And like a true foodie, she also never shied away from experimenting with foods. From launching her signature ice cream flavor to creating her special Buttermilk Chicken Burger – we’ve seen her do it all. Keeping up with the tradition, Rhea Kapoor recently tried her hand at a unique Portuguese recipe, which according to her was “crazy”. The dish is called Feijoda.
Riya took to her Instagram to share a story of her cooking experiment (read: feijoada) and captioned it, “Feijoda is a Portuguese dish that’s basically like Chorizo Rajma and it’s crazy!” He also credited Chef Gautam for the recipe and mentioned, “made the most incredible Chorizo Rajma today.” Have a look at his post:

Like our Desi Rajma Curry, it is prepared using a stew Beans and meat (preferably, pork). The name feijoada comes from the word ‘feijoa’, which in Portuguese means ‘beans’. In addition to kidney beans, this recipe also uses black beans, brown beans, and vegetables, including potatoes, carrots, cabbage and pumpkin – the recipe varies from region to region. Feijoda is traditionally prepared using a slow-cooking process in a clay pot. When mixed with rice, it becomes a nutritious meal.
