Nilgiris district police raided a workshop where air guns were being changed to shoot live ammunition, apparently to hunt wildlife, at Devla near Gudalur.
In a release, the district police said that the police found the workshop near the house of a man, identified as Soman, based on a tip-off at Chappanthode near Devla. Police confiscated a rifle and equipment, which they believe was being used to replace the air gun, from the workshop.
