In a special conversation with India Today, writer Taslima Nasreen said that the right to education is above the right of religion.
Taslima Nasreen said, “I believe that the right to education is above the right to religion. Some Muslims think that hijab is necessary and some Muslims think that hijab is not necessary. But you know that hijab was introduced in the 7th century. I was introduced by some anti-feminist because at that time women were treated as objects.”
He further said that hijab or niqab or burqa is a symbol of oppression.
