Rihanna and A$AP Rocky took an epic stroll over the weekend in snowy New York to reveal they were pregnant with their first child. Despite the frigid temperatures, the 33-year-old singer and fashion mogul in a long open pink coat (vintage Chanel) and ripped jeans smiled at her boyfriend by his side in Harlem, the homely neighborhood of A$AP.
In one photo, both are holding hands with a smile on their face. In another, he kisses her forehead. Her bump was neatly adorned with a long jewelry necklace.
Rihanna spoke about motherhood at her fifth Diamond Ball in New York City in 2019: “I’m a black woman. I came from a black woman, who came from a black woman, who came from a black woman, and I’m going to give birth to a black woman. This is no brain. that’s who I am. I am the core of who I am in spirit and DNA.”
After months of dating rumours, the two have publicly turned their long-standing friendship into a romance during the pandemic. In an interview with GQ magazine in May 2019, A$AP called her “my lady” and “the love of my life”. Regarding the relationship, the “PMW” rapper talked about their trip on a rented tour bus last summer and how the experience strengthened their bond.
When asked how it feels to be in a relationship after his past as a woman man, he said: “So much better when you find the one. He’s probably, like other guys, worth a million. I guess when you know, you know. He’s the one.” He also talked about having children in the future, telling GQ: “If it’s in my destiny, of course.”
