UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has listed reducing the national debt and reducing inflation among his priorities for the coming year. Sunak today released a list of five promises to get Britain back on track in recession.

in office for less than three months, Sunak is facing many problems Including disruption of national health services and rail services due to workers’ strike. The strikes were prompted by industrial action, a record cost of living, and an economy that may already be in recession.
In recent polling, the opposition Labor Party was ahead of the Conservatives by more than 20 points, putting Sunak under pressure to show he has a vision for the country.
Sunak, who came to power in October after the tumultuous premierships of Boris Johnson and Liz Truss, said today whether or not we will rebuild trust in politics through action.
He said, “So I ask you to judge us on the basis of the efforts we put in and the results we achieve.”
