However, Rohit has come back strongly, displaying incredible leadership skills in the T20I series win against Sri Lanka.
But given India’s poor position in the latest updated World Test Championship table and the effort to bring India back for the title again this cycle, leading the country in the longest format could prove to be a very difficult task.

For Kohli, who is set to be present in the playing XI but only as a batsman, it will be an emotional outing as he will represent the country in the longest format for the 100th time.
