after more than a year coronavirus Pandemic induced unprecedented lockdown, cinemas will open in Maharashtra on 22 October. This also means that filmmaker Rohit Shetty will finally release his much-awaited cop-thriller Sooryavanshi. NS Akshay KumarThe starrer will release in theaters on November 5. But before the film hits the silver screens, Shetty is planning to start promoting the film from October 15.
As per a report, Shetty will not go the traditional way of showing advertisements in newspapers or releasing the second trailer of the upcoming film. Bollywood Hungama reports that Shetty has decided to have a short and tight campaign of just 15 to 18 days, with three songs launching. The report mentions that through the 18-day campaign, Shetty will unveil three songs that are expected to create buzz. A source who spoke to the portal said that all the three songs will be chartbusters. One of the most awaited songs from the film is ‘Aila Re Aila’, which features three cops from Shetty’s previous films Singham (Ajay Devgan), Simmba (Ranveer Singh) and Sooryavanshi.
Another song to be released during the promotions of the film is a modern rendition of the hit 90s song Tip Tip Barsa Pani. The song stars Katrina Kaif and Akshay.
This time around outdoor campaigns are another method of promotion adopted by the filmmakers.
The report also said that Shetty will find space on hoardings in the city, as part of barter commitments, under which he will be present at some of the company’s events. The celebrity filmmaker has decided to go to the ground and take over the hoardings to send out the message that Sooryavanshi will release only in cinema halls this Diwali. The marketing of the film will also focus on digital promotion along with songs, posters and other content on social media.
