Riders were looking forward to a fun day at Carowinds Amusement Park in North Carolina, USA, but events took an unexpected turn and their rollercoaster ride turned into horror. The coaster came to a sudden halt and the disturbance continued for about 45 minutes, leaving the riders hanging upside down. Fortunately, no one was reported to be injured.
according to this Fox 59, riders hopped on Friday aboard Flying Cobra, the coaster that sends people through a 360-degree loop at speeds of up to 50mph. The 125-foot-tall looping coaster flips riders a total of six times. But the thrill turned to chills when the coaster stopped moving completely for so long.
Speaking to the media outlet, Brandon Allen said that it was his first experience at the theme park on a rollercoaster but unfortunately the ride got stuck. “I personally saw my tears fall from the sky. It was terrifying,” Mr Allen said, describing the ordeal.

“We go to the top where they’re supporting you, and that was the countdown. He goes, ‘We’re sorry, we’re having some technical difficulties,’ and we thought that surprise element or something. And kidding because of,” he said Fox 59,
He said minutes of being stuck feel like hours. The rider also revealed that he was told that the ride would be scheduled for anywhere between 35 and 45 minutes. “Which may not be major, but it’s a big deal when you’re completely facing the field. There were parents trying to talk to their kids by yelling, ‘It’s going to be okay. ‘!” Mr. Allen said.
He also noted that riders got stuck on electro spin rides last month. Mr Allen said it seems to be happening more often now. “It’s almost like it’s happening, and that’s what’s so scary about it,” he said.
