In the interview, Ronaldo fiercely criticized his former teammate Wayne Rooney, who told him to work with his head down. One of the Manchester United legends, Rooney has openly called Ronaldo’s behavior “unacceptable” and potentially “distracting” for the club.
Ronaldo acknowledged Wayne Rooney’s comments and said:
I don’t know why he always criticizes me so badly, I think the reason behind it is that he ended his career and I am still playing at the highest level. I’m not going to say that I look better than him, which is true.
