Royal Enfield aims to expand its 650cc motorcycle line-up with the introduction of Machine Gun 650 more super meteor 650 in the Indian market. As reported by MCN, Royal Enfield Shotgun The 650cc recently spied testing overseas, revealing more details about the production-ready model.
As per the spy images, the Shotgun 650cc styling is very similar to the RE SG650 concept. Prospectively tested for the range, the prototype is seen with wires connected and a top box. Featuring circular LED headlamps and halogen bulb blinkers, the cruiser bike gets a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, rearview mirrors and a wide rear mudguard.

In addition to this, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is seen with central footpegs, a single seat and pull-back handlebars. The new RE bike is expected to come with a semi-digital instrument panel with tripper navigation, a USB charger, LED lighting and Bluetooth connectivity.

Suspension duties will be done by USD forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. For braking, the bike will get dual-channel ABS with front and rear disc brakes. The bike is likely to get 19-inch wheels at the front and 17-inch wheels at the rear.

The Chennai-based bike maker is yet to reveal the mechanical details of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, however, we expect it to get a 648cc air-cooled parallel-twin engine. Featuring the same mill as the Royal Enfield 650 Twins, the shotgun engine is mated to a six-speed transmission and is expected to generate 47hp power and 52Nm torque.
As of now, there is no official word from Royal Enfield regarding the launch details, however, we expect the Shotgun and Super Meteor to launch after 2022.
