RPSC SI Exam 2021: Four pairs of trains to have extra coaches for students

Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) will conduct its examination from September 13 to 15 for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector and Platoon Commanders in the Home Department. Thousands of candidates are expected to appear in the examination and will also travel to other cities by train to reach their examination centres. Keeping this in mind, the Railways has decided to temporarily increase the passenger capacity. North Western Railway zone has ordered eight additional coaches for four pairs of trains running at Jaipur, Udaipur and Ajmer.

Public Relations Officer (PRO), North Western Railway Zone, Lt. Shashi Kiran said that two second chair car coaches will be added to each of the four pairs of trains.

Trains no. 02991/02992, Udaipur City-Jaipur-Udaipur City Special, will be equipped with two more second chair car coaches from 13-15 September.

Similarly, two more chair car coaches will be added in Train No. 09617/09618, Madar Jn – Udaipur City – Mother Jn Special. This special train is frequent passenger between Udaipur and Madar Junction in Ajmer.

The third pair of train is 09733/09734, Jaipur-Marwar Jn-Jaipur Special. This train runs between Jaipur and Marwar Junction of Pali District. For the convenience of students appearing for RPSC SI exam, Railways will add two second chair car coaches in the train.

The last pair of trains to get extra temporary coach is 09721/09722, Jaipur-Udaipur City-Jaipur Special. Udaipur and Jaipur are both huge cities of Rajasthan.

While the exams are just a few days away, many students have requested RPSC to postpone the exams saying that they have not got proper time to prepare. The protesting students have also managed to trend #PostponeRAJSIexam on Twitter. State Education Minister Govind Singh Dostana and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot have been tagged in dozens of tweets.
