The dollar index, which gauges the greenback’s strength against a basket of six currencies, was trading 0.13% higher at 99.92.

Most of the Asian and emerging market peers are trading weak against the US dollar this Monday morning and may weigh on sentiments, said Sriram Iyer, Senior Research Analyst, Reliance Securities, though a fall in crude oil prices will impact depreciation bias. .

However, the big trigger for the markets will be the Indian and US CPI inflation data on Tuesday, Mr Iyer said.
