Former India Cricketer atul wasani Expresses disappointment after South Africa defeat Men in Blue 3 match series 2-1 Friday in Newlands, Cape Town. India won the first Test by 113 runs but South Africa won the second and third Tests to win the series. “Certainly this team is not what we’ve seen before. I’m not disappointed because these things happen in cricket but I didn’t expect a fight like this. It’s a good sign for South African cricket because to some extent till they were falling the map was there EnglandAustralia and India dominate. A good South African team will do a great job for Indian cricket. Not winning the series and losing the series is disappointing, but there are lessons to be learned,” Atul Vasan told ANI.

“I think Rahul Dravid has been where we were in the series after a 1-0 lead. He has done that before but yes it is the weakest side but you can see the way his batsmen did Played, especially Pietersen and Bavuma and Van der Dussen. So, they have played very well. It shows they have potential and defeating a team like India will help them do better overseas as well.”

Vasan further said that Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara are not doing enough for the team and they may not get more chances in future.

“I think the ship has sailed for Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara because they are not doing enough. An odd 40 and an odd 50 will not work for them, it is not expected. Our batsmen have given us the series this time. They didn’t give enough runs to the bowlers to defend 20 wickets,” Vasan said.

“We saw that as the game progressed, the wickets got easier and we saw these guys score runs. So it was the same as in the last two Test matches. So the blame is on Pujara and Rahane. The Indian team has put a lot on them. And we wanted them to feel counted and they didn’t count.”
