Actor-composer Saba Azad was at his best during a recent interview with Hindustan Times, in which he reveals why he decided to use Saba Azad as his stage name. The 36-year-old actress revealed that ‘Azad’ was her grandmother’s surname and her name on the passport still reads as Saba Grewal. “The name on my passport is Saba Grewal. My father is of Sikh origin and my mother is Muslim, but neither follows religion nor imposes her opinion on me. She is an atheist. Azad was my maternal grandmother’s surname.
