Sacked employee behind Delhi couple’s murder, child left under blanket

The man felt humiliated and planned to take revenge for killing Ahuja.

New Delhi:

A couple and their domestic help were murdered at their three-storey house in Delhi on Tuesday in what police say was an “act of revenge” by a former employee.

Police said the main accused and his girlfriend were sacked sometime back by Shalu Ahuja, a woman running a beauty parlor on the ground floor of the building in Ashok Nagar.

After learning of their relationship she dismissed the two, citing “unprofessional behaviour”. Police said that her husband Sameer Ahuja also had an argument with the main accused when his wife was evicting him.

The man felt humiliated and planned to take revenge for killing Ahuja.

He discusses his plan with his girlfriend and two friends – Sachin and Sujit – who agree to help him. After this he caught two more people.

While the bodies of Shalu and domestic help Sapna were found on the ground floor, Sameer was found dead on the first floor of the building, with bruises on his face and head.

His two-year-old daughter was sleeping under a blanket on the first floor. “They didn’t kill him because they couldn’t find him,” said an officer.

Police said both women’s throats were slit with a sharp weapon, adding that Sameer’s head was beheaded, possibly from a frying pan which has been recovered from the spot.

On going through the footage of the CCTV camera, the police found that the accused had come home on two motorcycles at around 8 in the morning.

Officials said that the domestic help was at home at the time of the incident, so they killed her too.

Sameer and Sujit have been arrested and search is on for the main conspirator, his girlfriend and two other accused – who are missing.
