Governance consulting firm, Samagra has recently launched an open source gov-tech mentoring program called ‘Code for GovTech’ (C4GT) for engineering students. This summer coding program will start in May and end in August. Those who are not treated can apply from the official website of Samagra. Those who will be shortlisted as contributors will get a stipend and job opportunity with leading government tech companies, informed the firm.
Under the programme, students will be able to learn and interact with practitioners of the government, both within and outside the government, informed the firm. “They will also receive hands-on 1:1 mentoring by pioneers in the ecosystem; eg: One Step, TechD, Navadhiti, etc. This is an opportunity for students to contribute to actively develop digital public goods that can benefit millions of people. C4GT will be hosted on the open source platform GitHub.
